To do this, you have to comply with a series of rules.<\/p><p>The full story can be read <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eportugal.gov.pt\/noticias\/governo-aprova-plano-tens-futuro-em-portugal-para-jovens\">HERE<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p><p>In short, young people can fully benefit from this programme if they:<\/p><ul><li>You are under 35 years old;<\/li><li>Have an income up to the 8th IRS bracket, i.e. 81,199 euros of annual taxable income;<\/li><li>Have a tax residence in Portugal;<\/li><li>Do not own property;<\/li><li>Must not have already benefited from public guarantees;<\/li><li>The property has a tax value of up to 316,772 euros<\/li><\/ul><p>For properties above these values, it is also possible to partially benefit from the Programme&#8217;s exemptions.<\/p><p>For couples in which one of the people already owns a home or one of the people is over 35, the exemption becomes 50 per cent.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3c374a5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3c374a5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">How can I benefit from this programme?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ce48ef9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ce48ef9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>To benefit from this programme, the deed for your new home must be scheduled for 1 August 2024. Then, to request exemption from IMT and IS, you must fill in the IMT model 1 declaration on the Finance Portal, or send the completed declaration via the e-balc\u00e3o on the Finance Portal.
